The DrinkMate/ Basic, Iconic, Dynamic and The Slim models of the Sodafresh Soda Maker can carbonate any beverage, but we recommend only carbonating water with the Rhapsody and the Purific model.
No, Sodafresh Soda Makers do not require batteries or electricity.

If you’re drinking plain sparkling water, the answer is YES! as long as the water reaches the water fill line on the carbonating bottle.

Since not only water can be carbonated in the Soda Maker, you can re-carbonate once you’ve added flavor.
Carbonated beverages can last up to several days when stored properly. However, they may lose some of their carbonation and flavor over time.
The rubber seal on the cap keeps your soda water from going flat as quickly as ordinary store-bought beverages. If you make sure to close the cap tightly, and keep the bottle in the refrigerator, your soda water should remain fizzy and fresh for up to two weeks.
It sounds like you may be out of CO2. If that is not the case, please contact our customer support team to troubleshoot the issue.
Few things that tell you when your CO cylinder is empty:
When you press the carbonating button you will not see any gas going into your bottle of water.

The temperature of the water / beverage has a big impact on the ability of the liquid to hold CO2. The colder the better.
If you carbonate a beverage other than plain water with the Rhapsody and the foam did overflow, don’t worry!
Short answer: Remove the gas tank and rinse the machine inside out under the water tap.
Long answer: There are no electrical parts inside the Sodafresh Soda Maker, so it is completely safe to remove the gas tank and rinse the machine inside out under the water tap. After that, re-attach the tank and flush the system by carbonating a plain glass of water. This should solve the issue.
